I don't see a Metro Court thread so I hope doing a lunch thread here is ok
We had left the WSB headquarters and headed out for lunch. We decided on the restaurant at the Port Charles Hotel because it had the reputation of being one of the nicest restaurants in town. As I drove over there, I held her hand in mine the entire time.
We arrived and entered the restaurant. Before long, we were shown to a table and given menus. As she opened her menu and started to look it over to decide what she wanted, I found that I couldn't do likewise. I found that I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful woman in front of me. The woman I was in love with more and more by the moment. I smiled at her as I continued to stare at her, unbeknownst to her...at least for now. I was about to share that little secret with her, though, letting her know exactly where my attentions lay.
"My god you are breathtaking, Jordan. I don't believe I've ever seen a more beautiful woman. I am the luckiest man in the world to have you in my life. I love you, Jordan, I want you to know that.", I told her softly as I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it softly, my eyes never leaving her lovely face.

(OOC: This will work!)
Jordan and I arrived at the only hotel in Port Charles, aptly named … Port Charles Hotel. After being seated in the restaurant, I picked up the menu, pretending to be perusing it even though I could feel his eyes on me the entire time. “My god, you are breathtaking, Gwen. I don't believe I've ever seen a more beautiful woman. I am the luckiest man in the world to have you in my life. I love you, Gwen. I just want you to know that,” he said, and I just soaked it up.
When he got all sentimental the way he is now, it made me simply glow, knowing I had his love flowing through me and vice versa. “And I love you,” I replied, reaching across the table for his hand. “You’re the perfect guy for me, and I don’t want you to forget it.” No other man could satisfy my needs the way Jordan does, both in the office and out.

“And I love you. You’re the perfect guy for me, and I don’t want you to forget it.”
It was encouraging to hear her say what she had said. I had been waiting to ask her a question and I'd been nervous about it but I felt like I could ask her now. No, it wasn't marriage...yet...it wasn't the right time for that yet. But it was a big step and it waws one that was a logical next step for us. I hoped that she agreed with me and agreed to this major step with me. I reached over and took her hand as I took a deep breath.
"Gwen, there's something I want to ask you. We've been together for a while now and I think we're pretty amazing together. I love you and you love. Hell, you even said that we're perfect toegether. I think its the perfect time for us to take the next step in our relationship and I hope you agree with me. I thought that maybe, if you want, we could move in together, live together", I told her, finding that I was more nervous about asking her this than I thought I would be. This was a sure sign tht this meant a lot to me and I hoped it did to her, too. "What do you say, Gidget? Are you ready to take that next step with me and live with me?"

I listened to him speak, feeling as if we were the only two people in the restaurant, save for the staff. “Gwen, there's something I want to ask you. We've been together for a while now and I think we're pretty amazing together. I love you and you love me. Hell, you even said that we're perfect together. I think it’s the perfect time for us to take the next step in our relationship and I hope you agree with me. I thought that maybe, if you want, we could move in together, live together,” he said, before he continued. “What do you say, Gidget? Are you ready to take that next step with me and live with me?”
I felt myself trembling. “Um, wow,” I could only reply. “Moving in together is a big step, but we’ve known each other long enough that I’m ready to take that leap with you.”

“Um, wow. Moving in together is a big step, but we’ve known each other long enough that I’m ready to take that leap with you.”
I found her answer a bit curious. She said that she thought we'd been together long enough for us to take that next step and live together but she never mentioned that it was something she wanted or that it was because she loved me. The last thing I wanted is for her to live with me because of obligation or because it was the next natural step. I sat back in my chair and looked at her appraisingly.
"Sweetheart, if you don't feel ready to take that next step, you can just tell me and I'll respect that. We can wait as long as is necessary for you to be ready. I'm not looking for us to co-habitate only because we've known each other long enough. I want for it to happen when the time is right but because it is what you want and because you love me, not because of the time we've known each other. I promise you that I won't be hurt if you tell me that you need more time before we aren't quite to where you think we should be and that you think we should wait a bit longer, I promise you that. I want this to be something be both want and are ready for, Gwen", I told her as I took her hand in mine and stroked the back of her hand with my thumb.

“Jordan, that came out wrong,” I replied. “I’ve known you my entire life, and that’s comforting to me. You’ve been part of the family for a long time, even Aunt Phoebe knows to put out a plate setting for you when we visit for holidays. I don’t know what Daddy and Mama would say, but I know that I would stand firmly on the ground until they see that our love for each other won’t die. So, my answer to your question is yes. Yes, I would love to move in with you.”

I smiled at her as I heard what she had to say. I decided that maybe it was on me for my reaction. I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it softly. "No, no....I don't know that it came out wrong, sweetheart. I think maybe I may have taken what you said the wrong way and perhaps overreacted. I'm sorry for that. You're right. We've known each other our entire lives and I should know how to read you and understand you. I do know how to do these things but for some reason my filter when it comes to what you said was just out of whack. I just love you, Gidget and I want to be with you as much as I can. That's why I want for us to take this next step. I can't tell you how happy that I am that you feel the same way", I told her. I took her face gently in my hands and gave her a long, soft kiss to seal what I told her and to show her just how much I loved her.

After he pulled away, I couldn’t help but smile. “I’m glad we decided to take this step together, as a couple, Jordan,” I said. “And don’t ever think that anything I say won’t make you love me less.”

"You have no idea how happy this makes me, Gwen. I just wanted to make sure that you were ok with the idea and not agreeing out of obligation. I love you so damned much and I know you love me. I just wanted to make sure you were ready for this. I'm glad to see that you are. I know we have this big case coming up and that its going to take up a good deal of our time so maybe after this case, we can start to move in together. Now, we need to decide if we should move in to one of our places or a brand new place like a new start for both of us. What do you think, sweetheart?", I asked her as I held her hand and rubbed my thumb over the back of her hand. I truly could not take my eyes off of her beautiful face. She just made me happy in ways that I had never thought it was possible for me to be in my life. I hope I did the same for her...and I had a feeling that I did.

Getting up out of my chair, I moved around until I could sit in his lap. “You better not drive me crazy with you’re always leaving laundry all over the floor,” I said, teasing him with the smile that he loved so much. I’m often teasing him about his habits, but I know he doesn’t mind.

I smiled as she came around to where I sat and sat in my lap. I wrapped my arms around her slender waist and held her close to me, holding her securely so she wouldn't fall. I kissed her shoulder as she told me about the laundry. "Well, sweetheart, isn't that what I'm supposed to do? Drive you crazy with my boxers laying about here and there for you to see? Like you're supposed to hang your nylons and bras on the shower curtain, right?" I teased her with a laugh. I then gave her a soft kiss and smiled at her. "I promise you that I will not drive you crazy with my laundry all over the floor. I promise that something I will do for you is to do everything I can to make you happy and to put that beautiful smile on your face as often as I possibly can. And I will always love you with all of my heart", I promised her sincerely.

I saw his smile as I came around to where he sat and sat in his lap. I watched as he wrapped his arms around my slender waist and held me close to him, holding me securely so I wouldn't fall. Jordan then gave me a soft kiss and smiled at me. “I promise you that I will not drive you crazy with my laundry all over the floor. I promise that something I will do for you to do everything I can to make you happy and to put that beautiful smile on your face as often as I possibly can. And I will always love you with all of my heart,” Jordan promised me sincerely.
“You make me happily content just by being by my side every step of the way,” I told him as my fingers reached out and ran a line across his cheek. “And I promise not to drive the other agents crazy with my constant matchmaking.”

“Oh, who’s the one that never says anything about it?”
"Hey now, maybe that's because I am too busy picturing those long sexy legs of yours in them to be able to do too much to complain about them", I told her with a broad grin as I rested a hand lovingly on the thigh of one of those long, sexy legs I had mentioned to her.
“You make me happily content just by being by my side every step of the way. And I promise not to drive the other agents crazy with my constant matchmaking.”
"As long as I keep that beautiful smile on your face, then I consider that a success. As for the matchmaking, I think its a little cute. Now if the other people don't mind it, go for it", I told her, smiling at her. "In the meantime, are you ready to go home, spend some private time together, Gidget?" I asked her softly as I took one of her hands in mine.

“Mmm, I like the sound of that,” I replied, leaning over to give him one last soft kiss before moving from his lap to stand up.
