Sean Donely many years ago was both a good guy and a bad guy but is definitely a good guy. Sean at times let the power, the money control him, making decisions and lies that cost him friendships with people who were like family to him. Now Sean cares about the people in his life and is always there for them whether it's looking after someone who's been like family or helping out on a case. Sean can be romantic and charming, but that¡s for his wife's pleasure only and he's a loving father to their daughter, who gives her advice time to time, to be strong and brave. He's not perfect and not a pushover ; Sean is a man that has seen it all and done it all.

HISTORY
Luke Spencer was charged with rape, a crime he was raped for and didn't even commit, in Mexico, and his old buddy Robert Scorpio told him to meet the former director of the WSB, Sean Donely. But what Luke, Robert and everyone else didn't know was that Sean who was secretly in hot pursuit of the elusive Aztec treasure. He would stop at nothing to keep all other fortune hunters from getting their hands on it. After everything, the chain of events that happened, Luke was cleared of charges, no one knew that Sean was the man behind it. Bored with his retirement, Sean craved the excitement of going up against the challenge of another brilliant spy, Robert, and kidnapped those close to Robert. However, after thinking he had killed Robert, a devastated Sean was so ecstatic to learn Robert was alive that he didn't fight Robert's arresting him. The two made amends after Sean helped Robert defeat Mr. Wu in the Asian Quarter adventure. In return for Sean's help in protecting Robert's family, Robert and Anna made Sean one of Robin's godfathers, a role which he took very seriously. In 1985, Robert, Sean and Anna made amends after Sean helped them defeat the evil Mr. Wu in the Asian Quarter adventure. Sean also took a liking to Dr. Monica Quartermaine and the duo had a torrid love affair, much to Edward and Alan Quartermaine's chagrin. Sean had started to pursue Tiffany when the police arrested him for murder. Edward made a deal with Sean to have the murder charges dropped if he returned the money he had stolen while involved with Monica. Alan soon came back from the dead and Sean moved on from Monica with Tiffany. Robert returned to Port Charles as temporary head of the WSB and to protect his family and friends. The trio's reunion quickly turns serious as Robert informs them he's the interim head of the WSB, that various WSB and DVX agents are being murdered, and that Sean is next on the list. With Anna, Tiffany and Duke's help, the group went to Rushmore to catch the terrorist group and their leader. Sean suffered a case of mid-life crisis, then fell for Dr. Greta Ingstrom. Unfortunately, her husband resurfaced, so Sean went back to a miffed Tiffany who wanted her wandering lover to pay. The duo worked it out however and got married in the Quartermaine mansion surrounded by family and friends. Sean also helps a distraught Felicia track down Frisco's "grave" after she is informed that her husband Frisco been killed during a WSB mission.
In 1990, Sean's devious past resurfaced when his arch nemesis, Cesar Faison, arrived in Port Charles. Through flashbacks, it was revealed that the two had plotted in destroying Robert and Anna's marriage back their WSB days. Then head of the WSB, Sean had arranged for Cesar to appear to have died while Cesar, then one of the heads of the rival spy agency, the DVX, helped Sean break up Robert and Anna. After failing to prevent Robert and Anna from discovering the truth, Sean helped his best friends defeat Faison before Cesar could force Anna to marry him. Cesar got even with Sean by poisoning his wife with a mysterious illness that caused her to go comatose. Holding the only cure, Cesar forced Sean to do his bidding, though at the time Sean didn't realize that Cesar was behind Tiffany's illness. Once Sean figured out Cesar's connection to The Cartel, he joined up with Robert and Anna to bring them down. Sean reacts when he hears Connor singing Mexican songs to sick children. Connor asks a shaken Sean to find a man called El Patron. Donely confessed to Robert that he was once known as El Patron but wasn't involved with Connor's mother, Luisa. As El Patron, he was involved in some rather shady arms deals. Donely met her at a festival where she called herself Amaranta. They had a one night stand and she disappeared the next day. Connor may be his son, but Sean's also worried he's an assassin sent to get revenge for a bad arms deal. A nervous Sean tells Tiff the whole story and is pleasantly surprised by her reaction. Let's adopt him she suggests. At Connor's immigration hearing, Sean announces he's Connor's father. Connor wasn't happy about it but they worked through their differences. Robert and Anna were dead in a boat explosion with Faison in 1992. Sean was made the new Police Commissioner for the PCPD. When Tiffany's sister Cheryl died in a car accident, Sean and Tiffany went to Phoenix to get Cheryl's son Lucas. Lucas had once been adopted by Bobbie Spencer after Cheryl had been told her baby had died. Bobbie had discovered that Lucas was Cheryl's baby but didn't say anything so she could keep him. Cheryl eventually found out and got Lucas back. However, Cheryl left Lucas to Bobbie and Tony in her will, thinking Tiffany didn't want children. This infuriated Tiffany and she took Bobbie to court to gain custody of Lucas. The custody battle threatened to tear Sean and Tiffany apart. She tried to fight dirty by telling the social worker about Bobbie's past as a prostitute. Sean refused to testify if Tiffany brought it up at the custody hearing. Despite his threats, Tiffany's lawyers used to ammo. Tiffany lost the case anyways and Lucas was given to Bobbie and Tony. Sean and Tiffany grew further apart and Sean had an affair with lawyer Jessica Holmes. When Tiffany discovered she was pregnant, Sean decided to go back to her. Jessica tried to stop him by claiming to be pregnant as well, but Sean returned to Tiffany anyways.
When Tiffany found out that Sean might have got Jessica pregnant as well, she went into premature labor and her baby died. Devastated, Tiffany nearly committed suicide when Bobbie and Tony saved her. Jessica later retracted her pregnancy claim even though she actually was pregnant. When Jessica was murdered, Sean confessed to protect Tiffany because he thought she had killed Jessica. Felicia and Mac came to the rescue with proof that psycho Ryan Chamberlain was the murderer. Sean and Tiffany then began to repair their relationship. Tiffany and Sean celebrate Valentine's Day by learning that Tiffany is pregnant! Robin catches the flu from Stone. Joe realizes Sean is tailing him and gets an idea to antagonize Luke into a gun fight. A horrified Luke accidentally hits Sean. Sean is rushed to the hospital, where Tiff and Felicia sit vigil. Tony operates. Luke is exonerated when word comes that Sean has regained consciousness and cleared him. Luke heads straight to the hospital to apologize to Sean and Tiff. While Sean fights for his life, Tiffany has flashbacks of all the good times they've had. Tiff confides to Felicia that she is worried about the health of her unborn baby with all the stress. Bobbie, Luke, Amy and Felicia all comfort her when Sean takes a turn for the worse. Tony explains that Sean has bullet fragments in his brain that are life-threatening. He will escort Sean and Tiff to Mass General in Boston, where they have better technology for this delicate surgery. Sean makes Luke promise to get Joe Scully for him. Mac, Robin, et al say good-bye to the Donelys. After getting the surgery, Sean was fit and healthy but told by doctors to take it easy and not take any risks. Sean and Tiffany began to live their lives in Boston. Sean began his own Private Investigation business called, Donely Investigations and worked with some cases with the Boston Police Department. As he did, Sean got the trust of the BPD and was offered the position as Chief Of Police but Sean didn't want to take the offer because he wanted to settle down and be there for his family. Tiffany worked with a news television station but at times took it easy, taking days off so that she can focus on her pregnancy. She and Sean went to classes, learning more about being pregnant as their love grew stronger. On June 2, 1995, Anna Donely was born into the world, as they named her after their best friend, Anna Devane.
Being a father and mother weren't easy for Sean and Tiffany. They taught their daughter everything about the facts of life as she grew. Tiffany taught her how to make cookies but Anna also learned from her father Sean on how to be independent. Anna took karate lessons and was a professional, which made Sean and Tiffany proud. Basically Anna was a good decent girl who made a lot of friends while in school. As Anna started to get to her teen years, she was interested in boys. That made Sean suspicious and wanted to make sure that a young punks won't hurt her, breaking Anna¡'s heart all the time. In 2006, WSB Director John Phelps called a surprised Sean. He told and explained to Donely everything about the WSB Office of Special Projects, a special branch in Port Charles but that John needed a OSP Operations Manager, someone that can keep things in check at the WSB OSP. Also including that Robert and Anna were the special agents in charge of their team as Sean was surprised to her that. Sean told John that he needed time to think about this and talk to his family about it as John said to him to take his take, there's no rush. Once Sean talked to Tiffany about, Tiff had doubts about it because she thought if they moved back to PC, then Sean will get shot and probably die. Sean told Tiffany that they could get through anything because their love is strong, which will overcome many things and better yet, it will give Anna the chance to make good friends and meet Robert, Anna, etc. Tiffany supported Sean's decision and once they talked to Anna, she was ecstatic too since Port Charles was the place that her father made his accomplishments. John the next day called Sean and asked what his answer is : Sean accepted his offer to go to Port Charles and take the position.
When Sean and Tiffany go back to PC, they do know that the mob is still around with people like Sonny Corinthos and new players in the mix. But Sean, Tiffany and Anna will confront their problems, head on, not running away from anything that gets in their way.

I finally arrived at the DVX Headquarters in Washington D.C. Just like the WSB, they had their own location base but only a couple of blocks away. I wasn¡'t staying in Washington D.C. for long and I told Tiffany and Anna that I was coming here for a business meeting. If I told them the real truth, they would flip out, well Tiffany would mostly flip out. She doesn't want me to get hurt and I understand that but Tiff knows damn well that I used to love being a WSB agent back in the day and still to this day I have those feelings of the thrill for adventure. I miss the action to be honest. John Phelps, the WSB Director needed my help on something and I was the only person for the job. Why couldn't anyone else do it? John Phelps looked at my resume and it's no secret that I do have the experience as a WSB agent, Private Investigator and Police Commissioner of Port Charles, which I've been as I lived my life. My mission was simple, and that was to get important information on what the DVX has based upon what codes they were using to kidnap WSB agents for their own use, taking them to places around the world. The DVX has the information inside their headquarters and I am going to be quick and careful getting it because looking at the place, they have security guards.
But that's where I come in as I get out my disguise in the back on my car ; pair of glasses and a black beard putting them on. I know that it may not be that much but the security guards won't recognize who I am. Then I get the license on who I am pretending to be : Joseph Banks, a lawyer for Banks & Barrette Associates. Before getting out of the car I take a deep breath and relax. I know this won't go smooth but it's never easy when you're on a mission, just like this. I get out of the car and lock all the doors and then walk up to the DVX Headquarters passing people, who just came out. A security guard stops me. "Excuse me sir but I need to see your ID" , he said as I gave him a smile and nodded. "Sure, here it is sir", I said to him, getting out my wallet and giving the security guard my ID as he looks it and nods. "You can go on ahead", he said to me. "Thank you" , I told him as I walked inside the building and looked around. This place isn¡'t bad and it looks very structured and basic. The DVX back then never had their headquarters because they didn't know who to report too and such. I walk down the hallways as I stop and see a man coming out of his office. He must be the one of the head honcho's of the DVX Spy Headquarters here in D.C.
As he leaves I walk up to his office door that says, RAYMOND LEE - DVX DIRECTOR , then suddenly a young woman walks up to me. "Excuse me sir, I am Mister Lee¡'s secretary. My name is Bianca. Can I help you?",she asks as I turn and smile at her. "Yes, my name is Joseph Banks. I'm here to see Mister Raymond Lee for a meeting. Is he here?" , I asked Bianca. "Mr. Lee is here but is in a meeting right now. Is this urgent?", she asks me and I shake my head. "Oh no I can wait" , I told her as I had a strategy and plan in mind. "Then please take a seat and after Mister Lee is done he can see you", she said as I smiled and nodded my head, taking a seat. I need to get inside that office so I can find the code that Lee has. He has to be one of the men but if not then it¡'s another person who leads the DVX here. In a few minutes Bianca gets up from her desk and goes down the hallway into a restroom. This is the perfect time as I get up and I see no one else coming down the hallways. I pull out a special key from my pocket and insert it into the doorknob. I open the door and before coming in I look both ways and there¡'s no one. If there was, I would be dead meat right now.
Closing the door behind me, and locking it, I start to look around Lee¡'s office. I go over to where his files are and after checking each of them, it¡'s hard to find the code. Lee must of organized this very well and neatly but then suddenly one a piece of paper I can see it somewhere! There's other codes on it too as I take out a slip of regular paper out of my pocket. On it is 123970 as I look on the full piece of paper for it. I scroll down the paper and see a code and it¡'s 123970 ! I see a pen on Lee's desk as I take it and circle the same numbers on the other paper. I fold the paper and about to put it in my pocket but then I can sense and hear someone's footsteps coming in. Quickly I put the files where they were, the pen on Lee's desk and the regular paper in my pocket. Suddenly I hear the door knob turning but glad that the door isn't open. I leave the desk and hide behind the door. As it opens, the security guard, who I saw when I came to the DVX Headquarters comes in and from behind I knock him out with the WSB chop! I didn't want to do that but I have a mission to fulfill and I'm almost there. I walk out of the office and close the door behind me but not all the way. Then I leave the DVX Headquarters and get back in my car driving off to the WSB Headquaters to give John the information : mission accomplished.
