HISTORY ♥
Before Nadine came to Port Charles, she was living in the back roads of Ohio. She and her sister often had to work the farm where they lived, and sometimes pulled pranks on each other. They also volunteered at their small town’s hospital, the homeless & animal shelters and sometimes the nursing homes.
One night in the middle of the night, Jolene ran away but refused to tell Nadine where she was going. As protective big sister, Nadine decided to follow Jolene. She also discovered that Jolene sabotaged General Hospital and killed many patients. Nadine didn’t find out about it until she came to Port Charles after hearing that her sister was in a coma from an explosion at the hospital.
Nadine became a member of the nursing staff at GH and quickly set herself apart from her evil sister. She caught Spinelli’s eye, but they were never more than friends.
She also began seeing someone completely unexpected, Professor Pete Marquez. Sure, he could be considered a bit of a goofball at times, but Nadine had no idea she was in for a surprise.
The two continued to date, but when Emily’s twin sister Rebecca showed up it was all over – but then Rebecca was kicked to the curb. Unfortunately, Nadine disappeared into the background. Now Nadine has returned – or didn’t ever leave – but is afraid to start up another romance, in case the man is already either married or engaged or seeing someone else.

Can you ever really come home? I wondered as I sat in my car in front of the hospital. Probably not, but as Aunt Raylene would say, “You’ve got to go somewhere to come back.” But can you love again? Definitely, if you can find the right man.
I knew I couldn’t dawdle any longer, so I climbed out of my car and began to walk toward the building. I hadn’t been back in Port Charles in a while, and it seemed as though everything had changed…for the better, I hoped. But the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by…no one.
I guessed that either everyone was upstairs, or it was Saturday, making everyone’s day off. So I decided to take my chances and head upstairs. I walked to the elevator, jabbing the up button repeatedly until I heard it ding.
Climbing inside, the doors were about to close when I heard a voice – the accent distinctively Australian – call out. “Hold the elevator please!”
I pressed the Door Open button, and let the other person climb aboard. It turned out to be none other than Jasper “Jax” Jacks. He was a handsome guy in his own right, even if he wasn’t available. But he did have a cutie-pie daughter, whose name was Josslyn, I reminded myself.
He could tell I was staring, but though he wanted to say something, he didn’t want to hurt my feelings. I turned away, and that’s when I heard him speak for the first time since he got on the elevator. “So what brings you back to Port Charles, Nurse Crowell?”
“I decided it was time to come home, Mr. Jacks,” I responded. “I’ve been away too long, and I’ve got my life here.”
