A/N[/b]:
This is my first attempt at a Jannie fic, so we'll see how it goes...
I'm also horrible about keeping up w/ updates, so we'll see if I'm better with this.
This story is based off of a dream I had the other day, but I only remember the ending.
also comes from this gif:
I still absolutely love Amanda + Jamanda. Not sure if Jamanda will be involved in here because it would be almost ooc for Jake to care in the slightest about Annie, much as I would like that. I also love Greenlee, Madison, Randi if she's featured at all. And I actually don't hate Krystal, simply because she's Babe's mom.
Others might show up, probably not dominantly.
I highly doubt Cara will wind up in this fic, especially if Jamanda doesn't.
Expect to see very little Erica & Kendall. They're on the show enough as it is.

I’m going to be honest…I was crying too hard to see the screen at the end.
There’s no way I’m rewatching yet so if the scene between Scott/JR happened after JY broke down, it’s happening again.
I usually write scenes that cover the canvas, so this will probably include that.
Some minor couples in the beginning will likely not be endgame.

SOMEWHERE TO TURN
Adam Chandler, Junior was a stoic man. Like his father, his wardrobe was always immaculate, he had a certain way with the ladies, and he didn’t let anyone see that he had any weaknesses. Scott Chandler was shocked to see differently. He knew that there was likely only one other time JR had broken down, when his wife, Babe Carey Chandler died from a tornado. But this, he didn’t think he had broken down like this.
JR watched the PVPD take Annie away until he couldn’t anymore, until he couldn’t keep the tears from falling, marring his usual professional stance. He knew he would have to return to Marissa, but he didn’t see how he would be able to after Annie was taken back to Oak Haven. JR knew that was her worst nightmare, to be locked up without anyone around. Before, she had Aidan Devane and his father later on, but who would she have now? He hoped they remembered about her inhaler. JR didn’t want to think of his girl alone in a cold, dark room, crying for him, having an asthma attack. He didn’t even want to think of his girl. He still had a reputation to protect.
Drying his tears, JR noticed his cousin staring at him. “What the hell are you looking at?”
Scott held up his hands in defense. “Nothing.” No, it was certainly something. It was JR showing he wasn’t always a heartless bastard. Scott knew he wasn’t about to forgive him for ruining his marriage with Annie. Still, Scott knew he played a role in the inevitable as well. Sleeping with Marissa Chandler wasn’t his best moment and he guessed she had forgotten it as he tried to. He hoped he could have a better relationship with Madison North, learn from his mistakes.
“Then stop staring at me,” JR spat, heading for the door. He wanted to get away from the hotel room as soon as he could. If things were different, maybe he would be marrying Annie today instead of making her believe he would. If things were different, they might be happy. Babe had liked Annie. He used to like Annie, and then couldn’t stand her, and when he liked her again and started to love her, he couldn’t understand what Marissa still had against her. Oh, he understood she was upset about the affair, but after Marissa had slept with Scott, he figured they were probably even. However, Marissa thought differently.
JR left the room, followed by Scott and left to go face Marissa.

“I hate you! I hate you!”
The words reverberated through Ryan Lavery’s head. Emma didn’t mean it, he knew that, but he also knew that she might. That he might be hated by his daughter like he had hated his own father hurt. It hurt like hell. Ryan wished right then, as he had done plenty of times before that his sister Erin was still alive. She would know how to help Emma. Greenlee had tried, oh, his wife had tried, but Emma had overheard Annie murmuring about Greenlee. She couldn’t trust the woman right now.
Ryan knew that hurt Greenlee and the look on her face nearly killed him, but he also knew that his daughter might need some time to herself. Madison had been great earlier and Emma had actually eased up around her. Then after Emma had told him that she hated him, Madison stopped by again to see how she was doing. Madison was with her now. Madison was the only person Emma was letting into her room, letting anywhere close to her.
He had loved Madison, he had. He couldn’t lie and say that he hadn’t, so her keeping their baby secret from him hurt even more than if they had been a mere fling. He didn’t believe for one second the excuses she told him about why she had. He briefly considered getting Emma to be the one for Madison to open up to. He knew there was more to this story than he knew and he would get to the bottom of it.
--------
Amanda Dillon-Martin had been a child of a broken home for as long as she could remember. Her father had been happy with her aunt Natalie, and the two had been better parents to her than she could have asked for. Trevor and Janet were also happy together for a time, but Amanda had learned at an early age to cope with her mom’s illness. Cope with it no matter what, no matter how hard it was. Cope with it even after Janet had killed her father.
She had also been the bitch, that one who had no qualms about backstabbing her best friend as long as she got the guy. Babe had been the other woman in several of those scenarios and when she had died, Amanda had regretted so much. She swore she wouldn’t do that to anyone else. But Amanda had wanted to conform and now she was regretting that even more.
She had found a family in the Martins, people that accepted her for her and didn’t think she would turn into her mother. Amanda knew their approval was only half of the reason she had ended her friendship with Annie, however. The other half stemmed from her fear, the fear that she would turn into her mother. That no one would be able to stop her from killing her husband like Janet had killed Trevor.
But, that wasn’t an excuse and Amanda knew it. She had let down Annie and she wasn’t about to forgive herself. Annie had been her first close friend since Babe and she had let both of them down. Amanda knew it would be hard to make it up to Annie, especially with the brunette headed back to Oak Haven, but she would. She would find out exactly what sent Annie off the edge again because she was sure it was more than just seeing Marissa and JR in the same room together, more than Annie and JR’s secret relationship. More and more, Amanda was starting to distrust Marissa. She couldn’t figure out why, but she would. She would get to the bottom of it.
--------
Marissa smirked, knowing JR was turning into putty in her hands. Oh, she wouldn’t let him back in so easily. No, Marissa was sure that not even groveling would help him this time. The fact was, he had lied and had an ongoing secret affair with Annie. How Marissa hated Annie. She and JR were happy until that gold-digger came along. True, he was still reeling from her twin’s death and JR had needed a little – persuading – to move on, but he had. He would again.
She would be damned if he got any custody of their son. She had agreed to joint custody for now, but what JR didn’t realize was that she had a plan of her own and it involved him winding up with nothing. One step had already fallen into place. Annie was going back to Oak Haven and JR would easily forget about her. Without the annoying skank throwing herself at JR, he wouldn’t have any reason to try to remember. The other step would happen soon enough and when it did, AJ would be hers.
Marissa knew that AJ was actually her so-called twin’s but well, she had never met the blonde and it didn’t mean anything to her. AJ was her son in every way that mattered and anyone who said differently, who tried to convince AJ that he had another mommy, would answer to her. Annie was one of the people who had tried to remind AJ about Babe. Marissa wasn’t about to lose her son to a dead woman, so she did what she had to do. She always did what she had to do; it was the main thing her adoptive parents had told her. Including how to act so nauseatingly sweet that you had people at your beck and call.
