It was only a few days here in Port Charles and things were hectic but not all hectic. I was offered a new job by the director of the WSB to lead a affiliate in Port Charles and I was extremely excited so I accepted it. The WSB director also told me that there will be people who I know and who I won’t mention, that will work with me ; my old buddies and that’s all i'll tell you. Not only was this a new opportunity but it meant that I can be here in town, not only to spend time with my friends and family, but most importantly Robin. She’s my greatest achievement to have as my daughter. To be honest, I didn’t know that Robin was mine years ago until Anna told me the entire truth and yes I was mad and pissed off but forgave Anna for our daughter’s sake. When Robin was in her pre-teen years and finally her teen years, she was hard to control and going into the woman’s stage but she’s still my little girl, no matter what. She’s a pure Scorpio AND Devane, the combinations of me and Anna combine. She ain’t no pushover at all and I’m just proud of her that she‘s going to medical school, to become a doctor. I just wonder why she didn’t join the family business as a spy, cop or PI but knowing that the world has given her other opportunities is good.
As im in my office here at the WSB Office of Special Projects, sitting at the desk, I look over the applications of those who’ll be joining as WSB agents and who won’t. Those who won’t will go to the DVX, an enemy of the WSB for years and they may not like it but have no choice. I feel sorry for them going to a place like that which has me thinking bad memories of Faison and how he made my life miserable with so many others. But as for the other people who applied I can see a bright future for them here at the WSB in Port Charles. Today I called Robin over for lunch and just have a father and daughter chat, catch up on things that's going on in her life. After signing off on all the applications I go to my refrigerator and take out a bag of Chinese food take from Eli’s Chinese Restaurant and heating it up for five minutes. Then as it was done warming up, taking it out and placing it on the table and couch near my desk, with plates I got from the cabinets. Spreading the Chinese food, half for me and the rest for Robin, I smell it and it's so good. Chinese food is a well known tradition in the Scorpio Family as it takes me back to when Anna and I were on our honeymoon in France of 1991 and she got chinese food for dinner. It was a surprise ; how she got it...it was the yellow pages, which made me laugh.
As everything is set, my phone rings as I pressed the button. "Hello?", I ask and it's my secretary. "Mister Scorpio, your daughter is here to see you", she said beeping through on the intercom through my phone. Pressing a button, with a nod to myself , I replied, "Alright, send her in please" , I said as the door opened and there she was as I smiled.
"Hello sweetheart, it's so good to see you"

As Robin walked through the building to meet her father, she thought about hard it was to believe that that was what she was actually doing. She was meeting with her father, the man who she had thought to be dead for years of her life. When Robin had first come face to face with him, she was livid. Every aspect of her life felt like a lie. When her parents had been presumed dead, at least she had known that they still loved her, not that they had just abandoned her. Even if they did have good reason for what they did, it still hurt her nonetheless. She went through painful things in her young life, things that she needed her parents to help her through. Still, despite the fact that she held so much anger in her when she first came to realize all of this, she still loved her father. She knew with his line of work there was a chance she could lose him again, and so she made the choice to begin working on her relationship with her father.
"Hi, I'm here to see Robert Scorpio." Robin told the woman at the front desk. She leaned against the wall, watching as she put the message through. After his secretary put the receiver down, she nodded for Robin to go through. "Hello dad. It's good to see you too." She told him, walking towards him to give him a small hug. At least they had worked that much on their relationship that she hugged him and interacted with him with little sarcasm - only the humourous kind now. Robin smiled as the smell of the food reached her nose. "Thank god you got good food! I'm starving." She quickly rushed over to the chair and sat down, awaiting for her father to do the same.

"Thank god you got good food! I'm starving", “Well dig in, it’s Chinese food, our family’s favorite sweetheart”, I said as I couldn’t help but let out a laugh. That’s my daughter Robin for you there and I know that she loves this food as much as myself and her mother Anna does. Taking my seat, I pull it up to the table, sitting next to Robin, then grabbing my chopsticks and using them, I pick up the chicken from the chow mein , putting it my mouth. “Ah….good isn’t it?”, I ask chewing on my chow mein and this is the favorite part of my day, just me and my daughter Robin, enjoying, eating and relaxing to the sweet and fresh smells of Chinese food. “So, just to let you know, I’m here in Port Charles to lead a WSB affiliate. Meaning that this is the WSB Office of Special Projects where people like myself investigate all major criminal offenses crimes punishable under the WSB and other places. I’m the supervisory special agent in charge of my team, which the people will come in a couple of days and I think you’ll know them very well. They’re people you’ve know since you were a little girl and that’s all I’m telling you”, I said giving Robin a smirk while I take a bite of the stir fried noodles. She probably knows who i’m talking about already but I wouldn’t say who’s coming to the WSB affiliate.
“But you don’t have to worry. I’m here for the long run, meaning that I’m not going anywhere. I also got a call from your mother Robin. She’s doing fine and wanted to pass the message on, that she loves you and can’t wait to see you in Port Charles”, I told her and the woman I’m talking about is Anna Devane, her mother. She and I have a mixed past full of both good and bad but the thing is, we still love each other no matter how many times we break up, make up, get married or divorce. I can still remember the first day we met at the WSB headquarters with Sean, O’ Reilly, and Sweede. She took my breath away and it was just her beauty and physique attracting me. No other woman, not even Holly can light a candle next her. Taking a sip of my diet coke, I tilt my head back and look up to the ceiling, then back at Robin. “So Robin, since I came back to PC I’ve been hearing from your uncle Mac that you’re a medical student, training to be a doctor. That’s a great sweetheart because you’ll have the greats such as Alan, Monica and many other people. I know you can do this and help other people in the world because that’s something to share”,I said to Robin but I do know that me and Anna would be thrilled if she became a cop, PI, or WSB agent but a doctor is fine by us.

As her father was telling her to dig in, Robin was already picking the food up off her plate with her chopsticks and shoveling it into her mouth. She was used to eating it out of the boxes at home as she studied late into the night, but this was just fine. "So good!" Robin responded, swallowing the food right after. She knew it was rude to walk with her mouth full, but hey, she was starving. After a busy day of classes, she hadn't had anything to eat all day. Robin looked up at her father after he had finished speaking, her eyebrow raised. "Who?" She asked, despite the fact that he had told her not to. "Tell me, please!" Robin had missed years with her father, her teenage years specifically. She was allowed to be a little childish now.
"Mom's coming?" A few noodles dropped out of Robin's mouth and back onto the plate. She grinned up at her father. She was much happier than she would like to allow herself to be. Sure, her father said now that he planned on staying but that didn't make it true. "Yes, I am." She replied with a soft smile. She knew her father would much rather she be following in his footsteps, and her mothers, but it was important to Robin to become a doctor. That job is what had taken them away from her as a child; kept them away from her while she dealt with the toughest struggle of her life. She wanted to be a doctor for Stone, for Jason; she wanted to save lives without disappearing. "And thank you, daddy."

“No problem Robin. I just know you’re going to show those people what you’re made of as a doctor, which is a hundred percent Scorpio. You know, were one of the greatest families in Port Charles. Me, your mother and your Uncle Mac’s track records in public service such as Private Investigations and working in the PCPD are well noticed. I’m so proud of you luv”, I said taking a sip of my diet coke. I saw that the little girl I met years ago, the one that read me the story before going to bed, the one I played that special game with, has changed and grown so much ; I knew right then and there, she was my daughter. She’s my greatest achievement and despite not being there for her as a teenager when I faked my own death, I was there to see her grow.
“But remember, just because you’re a Scorpio doesn’t mean there’s no free pass. Always remain quick on you’re feet every single time because you might not know what will happen. You got to work your ass off every single day because the name only lasts for so long”, I said to her and that’s true. Whenever I was working in the PCPD, a PI or WSB agent, I had to prove to critics that I wasn’t just a pretty face that the ladies follow around and I did just that by kicking ass and taking names. You can say that my track record in Port Charles and outside the town is legendary, no doubt about it. It something that all the kids want to be when they grow up and fight for their country.
