PERSONALITY ♥

Being raised by Sonny Corinthos, this girl has seen more than most her age. She's incredibly strong, fiesty, and yes, very stubborn. Most of her strength comes from her determination to be strong like her father and Jason, and even Robin. She tries her hardest to brush things off, which consists mostly of everything that happens to her at school. She has a few friends, but also a whole lot of haters or people who fear her family name. Her father may find her stubbornness to be a little frustrating, as it occasionally clashes with his. She wants to protect her father, despite the fact that in reality there is nothing she can do to save him from the business. Adelina is a daddy's girl, through and through. She adores Sonny, and her honorary Uncle Jason as well. She's in the stage of growing up where there is a chance she could become slightly rebellious - much to her father's dismay. If her father told her to run, she'd listen and run eventually, but she may not think much of sneaking out once or twice to attend a high school party - though being kidnapped has made her more cautious. She is often saddened by the thought of a mother that didn't want her, but she tries to hide this from her father as she knows he has given her the world and she doesn't want to hurt him with her questions. She's very sweet, even after witnessing and going through things that could scar some, and she has a smile that can light up the room - and more importantly the faces of Sonny and Jason. She also knows exactly where her loyalties lie. Unfortunately, as sweet as she can be, she is not very trusting. She knows how dangerous information can be in the hands of an enemy, as she's watched many of her fathers employees turn out to be traitors. She keeps a lot of her emotions pent up which is what causes the, luckily very few, moments of pure rage that she has. She's Sonny's daughter though; these moments of rage aren't average, they've led her to breaking things.

HISTORY ♥

Adelina Natalia Corinthos is the daughter of mob boss Sonny Corinthos, and rival Brenda Zacchara. Sonny and Brenda grew up together and were close childhood friends. As they got older, an attraction become apparant and Brenda Zacchara became Sonny's first real love. Sonny finally admitted to how he felt about Brenda and they both took it to the next level. Anthony never liked Sonny being with his daughter but Sonny and Brenda were young and rebellious and didn't care what anyone thought. Sonny and Brenda planned to run off together to get married and start fresh somewhere else but Brenda found out she was pregnant. She panicked and was unsure of what to do. Her dad was furious when he found out, but then came to the realization that he could finally have a boy who would fill the shoes Johnny refused to. Anthony held Brenda hostage in the mansion for the majority of her pregnancy. Sonny had no idea why Brenda had basically dropped off the face of the earth, but he found out from one of their close friends that Brenda had confided in before her disappearance that Brenda was pregnant.

When Anthony realized that he was not getting the boy he desired, he silently plotted until his daughter had given birth. It was then that he had his men take Brenda to Italy while he took the baby home to decide what to do with it. Sonny, with his mob ties from working for Joe Scully, had Anthony Zacchara being watched at this point. He followed Anthony with a few of his goons just as Anthony was preparing to dump Alex into the harbor and get rid of her. Sonny came out and offered up money and the promise he would stay out of Brenda's life for good if all custody of the child could be handed to him. However, when that didn't work, Sonny had to resort to threats of violence. Anthony, not wanting to die until he knew his legacy would be left with another male, handed him the child. He figured at least this would get rid of the dreadful girl, and his daughter wouldn't have anything to do with the Corinthos child.

From then on, Sonny Corinthos raised the little girl without her mother. He did, however, have help mostly from Jason Morgan. Just like Sonny, Jason grew very attached to the young girl. Sonny and Jason have tried their best to keep Alex away from all Zaccharas and told her very little of her mother. When she was younger, she didn't ask. She was happy with her life; perfectly content with being daddy's little girl and having the company of both Jason and Robin. Her curiosity began however after she was kidnapped by Anthony one day after school. Her guards were late because they were still at Greystone, and instead of staying alone at the school she decided it wouldn't be a big deal if she just walked. Anthony had been watching her from afar for quite some time, and he knew this was the right opportunity to grab her. While it was no secret he was only really fond of his children with Maria, he wanted to make Sonny pay for ruining his daughter's life -- or just to make Sonny pay for existing. Adelina was terrified. Sure, she had been told to run or hide before, even had to leave to the Island for safety, but she had never been grabbed herself. Her dad always told her he wouldn't let anything touch her, not that she would have blamed him for this. Luckily for Adelina - in a way - the guards showed up to watch her get grabbed and immediately called Sonny.

She was at the mansion listening to the man she didn't know ramble quite scarily about how her father ruined his daughter's life, and how she was also at fault, when Sonny came barging in with Jason, both of course wielding their weapons. Completely shaken, Adelina ran towards them and Jason took her out to the car while Sonny stayed behind to threaten Anthony. As he exited the room, he spotted Brenda in the home - but left after the two shared a glance. Sonny didn't know the whole story, and Anthony sure as hell wouldn't have shared that with him. He had no idea that it wasn't her choice to keep the pregnancy from him, and so he held that grudge. Now a can of worms has been opened that he's not sure he wants to get into with his daughter, or at all. He could shoo off the subject before, but now he wasn't so sure he could continue doing so. She's a curious little thing, and she wants the truth about everything.

Poor Brenda. =( Well you didn't include her bio aunts and bio uncle on Sonny's side since clearly she wouldn't know them on Brenda's side rofl, but that's alright.
