HISTORY ?Jordan Crenshaw is a man who is part of a tight knit family from Oklahoma. He is the middle son of a teacher and the chief of police of the Oklahoma City Police Department. His older brother Richard is a police detective working for his father in Oklahoma City and his younger sister Stephanie is a law student at Oklahoma State University and looking forward to working with the district attorney's office, having already received an offer to intern there with the promise of a potential career as an ADA if things work out during the internship. Jordan was at one time a police detective with the Oklahoma City Police Department as well but found life as a cop there too quiet for him. He craved more action and adventure than his hometown could offer him. Early in his career as a police officer, he applied to the FBI, feeling he would have more potential there and would feel more challenged there. And he was right. Just two years into his career as a police detective, the FBI came calling and recruited him into their training program. Graduating at the top of his training class, he was out on the streets in no time and fulfilling the promise the FBI saw in him when they recruited him from the OKCPD
Jordan was more than happy to volunteer for any assignments and missions that he was available for and which fit for him to pursue. He became quickly known as a go-getter and an agent who can be counted on in a pinch and is able to get things done. He was able to work his way up through the ranks of the FBI eventually becoming one of the top ranked agents and then eventually getting a huge promotion: head of the Port Charles branch of the FBI. He transferred to Port Charles, New York and found that he liked being able to be in charge and be in the action. He liked being in Port Charles as this was a city that seemed to be a constant hub of action and was never boring. He knew that this was somewhere he could see making a name for himself and being here long term.
While working in Port Charles, he had met agent Gwen Matthews. She appeared to be as tough and ambitious as he was and he liked her immediately. Before long, they had established a close friendship. Before long the friendship became more despite the fact that it was inappropriate for them due to their positions in the FBI. They are keeping things quiet and behind closed doors. He doesn't know how deep her feelings run for him but he does know how deep his run for her. He is falling in love with her. He knows that if it gets out that they were more than professional friends, it could be highly incendiary to their careers which mean so much to them. But is Jordan willing to risk his job to follow his heart? Or does the career he had worked so hard to build mean too much to him for him to put it at risk?

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE ?I had come into the office the morning after completing my latest mission. This was the part I absolutely hated more than any other part of the job: the paperwork. I knew it was a necessary evil to being allowed to get out there and get into the action, to having my fun, but it still sucked having to come in here and do this. I sighed as I opened the file, grabbed my pen and looked over what was already there, the background to the case that I had before the whole thing started. I sighed and shook my head as I put pen to paper and began to make notes of my report on the case, the activity that the case required and the details of the wrap up. It was slow going thanks to one distraction that kept popping into my head, one that always made me smile.
Gwen.
Gwen Matthews was one of my top agents and one of the most amazing women I had ever met. I was lucky enough to have her on the team that was assembled for this case and I was able to see first hand how she handled herself on the field yet again. Lucky? Who in the hell was I kidding? There was no luck involved with her being on the team. I chose her intentionally so that I could spend more time with her. Sure I had to act in a professional and official capacity but I got to be around her and see her on a daily basis. We'd become close. Very close. And I knew we enjoyed working together. She was a great addition to any team that I put together. If I could get away with it, I'd steal her away as my partner but I knew that she had been with her partner for quite some time and that would look suspicious if all of a sudden, she was yanked from him and assigned to me. It would put me at risk professionally and it would put her at risk. Something I didn't want to do. We had both worked so hard at building our careers so it would be foolish to risk them. I had to admit, though, if put between a rock and a hard place, I'd take the hit for her. I hadn't told her but I was falling for her. I hadn't told her because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable, especially if she liked things they way they were: close friends and then some...but not quite THAT much "some". Things were casual and quiet with us. For now.
I got up from my desk and went to the little minibar that occupied one corner of my office. I kept some brandy in there but not for frequent use. That was used for when clients came in and they wished for a drink as we discussed the case in question or wanted to celebrate the successful close of a case. Instead I helped myself to a bottle of the water in the mini-fridge that sat under the small bar. I opened the bottle and took a long drink of the water. Once I'd finished with my drink, I replaced the cap and headed back over to my desk. I sat down and looked back down at the file and the incomplete report that was part of it. I sighed again. What the hell was I expecting? That it would magically complete itself? Yeah, it was part of my job and I knew that it had to be done. I put the water aside and picked up the pen. I cleared my head and went to work, making notes once again on the notes that would constitute the closing case report.
I worked on the report for a good half an hour on paper and then put it onto the computer hard drive. I submitted it to the permanent records, saved a copy to my hard drive and then sent it to the records. I looked at my records on my hard drive and smiled. It always made me feel good to finish a case from open to close and to get this tedious paperwork out of my way just made me smile even more. I wouldn't have to worry about it later. I looked up at the clock and saw that it was nine. I knew I needed to debrief the team and then review cases for the next assignment I would take on and begin to consider the team for that case. I started to make calls to each of the team members and asked them to be in the debriefing room at 10:30. That would give me some time to get my thoughts together and prepare any remarks I might make to the team. I got mostly voicemails but marked them to be sent as urgent when the option came up. Once I'd finished getting the messages out or letting them know verbally about the meeting, I started to put my mind at work as to what I would say to them and how we would discuss the case we'd just completed and closed. I kept my mind focused nearly completely on the debriefing. Ok so there was one thought in the back of my head other than the meeting I was about to have this morning, one that I enjoyed entertaining a lot.
I wondered if Gwen would be available for a private lunch or dinner today or tonight.
t h o s e s t a r s b u r n l i k e d i a m o n d swell hey there, i'm Tami. i've been a crazy role player for at least five years and found this site by clicking on a link. my favorite gh characters are Alexis Davis and a tie between Nikolas Cassadine and Jasper Jacks and i really hate Sam McCall and Damian Spinelli. my favorite couple is not anyone current as I don't like any of the current couples but I loved Ric and Alexis and Jerry and Alexis and i really hate Jason and Sam. i really miss Alexis Davis since she gets nothing to do and no airtime and I miss Stefan Cassadine and i think the canon gh rocks. you can reach me by PM here at the board and my activity level is high. i'm normal and excited to make my new character!
